2nd Street Mural

before & after: the previous new glarus foods building got a facelift after 30+ years

Our mural project began in November 2019 with a committee of local residents, business owners & artists looking for the perfect candidate to create our vision. Many artists submitted proposals, and the committee ultimately chose Chad Caso, New Glarus resident and U.S. veteran.

After a pause for a pandemic, we hit the ground running in April of 2022. Chad worked his spray paint magic and finally brought the mural to life.

Our mural celebrates New Glarus’ Swiss heritage and unique features. Make sure you check it out when you are here for a visit! Stop by and take a selfie and tag #newglarusmural.
